Step 1.
FILL IN THE APEGGA REGISTRATION APPLICATION

PAY THE FEE – See APEGGA Fee Schedule

Note: Steps 8 and 9 of this flowchart can be completed at any time after registration with APEGGA at step 1, as long as you have at least two years of engineering work experience, including foreign work experience.

Step 2.
REQUEST YOUR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION TO MAIL YOUR OFFICIAL RECORD OF COURSES AND MARKS (TRANSCRIPTS) DIRECTLY TO APEGGA

Use online form: APEGGA Request for Academic Documents

Step 3.
PROVIDE PROOF OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE COMPETENCY
(TOFEL scores or submit a written sample as requested)

Step 4.
WRITE THE REQUIRED EXAMINATIONS AS REQUESTED BY THE APEGGA BOARD OF EXAMINERS
(skip Step 4. if you are not required to upgrade academic qualifications)

Step 5.
ENROLL AS A MEMBER- IN-TRAINING IF YOU MEET THE APEGGA ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS CRITERIA
- PAY THE FEE

Step 6.
COMPLETE THE WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS AS REQUIRED BY THE APEGGA BOARD OF EXAMINERS

Step 7.
DOCUMENT YOUR EXPERIENCE USING THE EXPERIENCE RECORD FORM OR A DETAILED RESUME

Clarify any questions with APEGGA and the Professional Engineer who supervises your work.

Step 8.
PREPARE FOR THE NATIONAL PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE EXAM

Step 9.
REGISTER FOR THE NATIONAL PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE EXAM, PAY THE FEE AND WRITE THE EXAM

Step 10.
ONCE YOU COMPLETED ALL THE STEPS AND MEET ALL THE CRITERIA, THE APEGGA BOARD OF EXAMINERS WILL GRANT YOUR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER REGISTRATION - YOU NEED TO:

*PAY ANNUAL FEES
*CONTINUE THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
