What are the duties for this trade?

Elevator Constructors read and interpret blueprints; do preparatory construction work (steel work, wiring and piping); install doors and frames; wire electronic control systems; test, adjust and repair mechanical/electrical systems; and carry out preventive maintenance programs.

Elevator Constructors work mostly indoors and may have some occasional work outdoors. They usually work 40 hours each week and may be on a 24-hour call for a specified period of time.
