Analysts at Alberta Human Resources and Employment monitor each month the career ads section in the Calgary Herald newspaper and produce summaries of the Top Occupational Soft Skills required by Calgary employees for professional level positions. This list of employer expectations is based on job descriptions for all the professional career ads published by major Calgary employers and covers management, technical-operations and administrative positions that require university degrees or four-year college degrees at least. The classified job columns published daily by the Calgary Herald are not included in the analysis of soft skills.
