It takes time, research, determination and career planning to get back on your career path in Canada. In some trades and professions you need to have both your education and relevant past work experience evaluated, while in others only your education is evaluated.

If you are planning to practice in a regulated profession or a designated trade in Alberta, then re-starting your career may take a longer time and a substantial effort to upgrade skills and build the required work experience. If your occupation is a non-regulated trade or profession, there are no restrictions to practice in your occupation.
