Local Literacy - Advanced Communication

Workplace Communication Group Description:

When we go on holidays many of us like to try the local cuisine, learn about the customs and local way of life, check out the non-touristy attractions and spend time with the locals.  As you become more settled in Calgary you might be feeling that you haven’t had a chance to fully integrate into life in your new home.

We are excited to launch our new Local Literacy - Advanced Communication group!

This group will be of value to you if you if you have an intermediate to high-level of English fluency but still find you may struggle to keep up with local conversation and chit-chat, especially in groups of native Canadian English speakers.

Be prepared for activities that include following local podcasts and news, discussing controversial issues, exercising idioms and collocations, and giving presentations. There will be homework! But to compensate there will also be a guest speaker, a pizza party and an off-site, group exploration.
